Across the country, music teachers are doing more with less — stretching every resource to keep the beat alive in their classrooms. Their love for music, and for their students, is what makes the impossible feel a little more within reach.

This spring, in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re proud to celebrate the educators who bring music to life — even when tools are limited and time is tight. These teachers show up early, stay late, and pour their hearts into helping students find their voice — literally and figuratively.

To support them, we’re teaming up with DonorsChoose, the trusted education nonprofit, to help fund music classrooms in public schools across the country. Starting May 7, we’re launching a donation match campaign — doubling contributions to select music education projects on DonorsChoose. Every dollar given will go twice as far, helping bring instruments, supplies, and creative spark out of the dream world and into students’ hands.

This partnership is part of the Music Matters Challenge, our national call to uplift the role of music in education for students everywhere. Through this campaign, we’re not only funding instruments and sheet music — we’re amplifying student creativity, supporting educator passion, and making space for joy in learning.

We’re also offering big opportunities:

● A $25,000 grant to transform music programming at one school
● A $10,000 prize for someone using music to inspire change — and the power to help
award $300,000 to fund a full-time music teacher at one deserving school.

But more than prizes, this campaign is about recognition.

During a week that too often goes unnoticed, we want to make noise — for the teacher whose classroom lacks instruments but overflows with heart.

Every project funded through this match carries a story: of a teacher who refuses to give up, a student discovering confidence through rhythm, and a classroom where music isn’t just a subject — it’s a lifeline.

Their work deserves more than gratitude. It deserves real investment. And that’s exactly what we’re here to provide.
